Verney's Camp Safari
Located in a remote southeastern part of Hwange National Park, Verney’s camp is enclosed by mopane and teak forests where Machaba Safari tents are tucked. Built-in early 2018, Verney’s camp has gained popularity in no time and has garnered tourists from all over the world. The camp consists of ten safari tents which have ensuite bathrooms, twin washbasins, and a shower. Each of these tents exhibits stunning views of the adjacent waterhole where you can spot animals roaming.

Day 1: Arrival
Reaching the Manga Airstrip you will be transferred to Verney’s Camp that is a 30-minute drive from the airstrip. Check-in and you have some time to enjoy your lunch and relax. Later get ready for the afternoon game drive. You can see the fantastic wildlife of Africa like the big five and the magnificent plains of Hwange. You will get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drives
Get up early for a morning game drive to spot the predators like the big cats- Lion, Leopard and cheetah dwelling there. You can spot the herd of elephants and other Africa wilds around the bush during the morning hour. You will get back for breakfast and lunch will be served before the afternoon game drive. The park houses waterholes that attract the majority of wilds living there. The wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, and hyenas can be seen during the game drive. By the evening you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure
Start the day with the scheduled game drive where you can admire the sunrise and explore the large savannah plains, the birdlife and more. Later you will get back to the lodge, enjoy the breakfast and check-out to reach the Manga Airstrip. From there board the flight to the nearest international airport.
Location
The nearest airport to Verney’s Camp is Hwange Airport which is 130 km from the camp. Alternatively, you can choose to fly to the nearest Manga airstrip and from there you can take a 30-minute game drive transfer to the camp.
